”While there is nothing wrong with this hotel if you just want to sleep there, if you want food or drink find somewhere else. On Friday night they closed the bar at least half an hour early so we couldn’t get a drink, on Sunday they were short staffed so stopped serving food at 7pm so we had to eat crisps and nuts! The hotel is a long way from anywhere to nip and get food and drink, so please make sure you are suitably refreshed before coming back.”

”Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I...

”Hotellin yleistilat nuhjuiset ja epäsiistit, huone puolestaan kaiketi vastikään uusittu ja sisustus oli siisti, joskin ei sopinut hotellin tunnelmaan ollenkaan. Ikkunoista veti paljon ja liikenteen melu oli todella iso ongelma. Yöllä ei saanut nukuttua edes korvatulppien kanssa. Aamiainen oli myöhässä ja hieman sekava, emme tienneet mikä osa aamiaisesta kuului huoneen hintaan ja mikä ei.”

”We were only there one night and didn’t eat there in the evening but breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious with excellent open plan bathroom facilities. Pleasant walk into Sidmouth ( approx 3.5 ) miles round trip Ticked all the boxes for what we needed. Would stay again”

”Wonderful property, enjoyable stay overall. Only frustrations were with not getting the set menu or 20% discount at dinner which was only realised after leaving. Breakfast service needs improving as the tea/coffee station was a drag and menus having pricing was confusing. Booked this hotel so I could get a quiet night of sleep in however our room had the ventilation unit outside the window so didn't get the silence I was excited for.
