We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. ”The house is amazing. We never felt like we were on top of one another as it is extremely spacious and well laid out. Kudos for having boggy boards, a tandem, kayak etc., it made for great family fun and wonderful pictures. I recommend replacing the bikes as they are rusty, and the tires were flat. ”Great place to stay - just as advertised. While not fancy or luxurious, it is very nice, comfortable and clean and in a spectacular location. Having morning coffee on lanai overlooking the ocean cannot be beat. Probably the best stocked kitchen in rental that we have ever had. Saul is an attentive (in a very good way) host. He provides great welcoming touches, including a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers.”

Having been to Hilo before, we didn't feel we needed a fancy tourist vacation destination lodging location, for a place to stay. They made suggestions as to sights to see and good places to eat, going so far as to even picking up a meal for us.
