”Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. ”The guesthouse is lovely and if you are lucky you may see the mount Fuji from all the clouds. The walk to the lake is nice, through some small streets and plantations. It is quite remote in the sense that often you have to take a train, bus and a taxi to get to the guesthouse. So plan for the long travel. There was no pick-up service offered and when leaving we got a ride because another family had a baby with them, but then it had to be on their schedule. ”
