We had an amazing stay here. Perfectly located to Patagonia Lake park and many other birding photspots”. Robin was very pleasant and helpful! The room was comfortable and clean. The granola was a special treat as was the coffee. If you are looking to photograph the Lawrence’s Golfinch you will find plenty right on the grounds along with other birds. We will for sure stay here again on our next visit south.

A Peaceful Gem Near Patagonia Lake – The Perfect Retreat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Birdsong Retreat, nestled just minutes from Patagonia Lake. We stayed in the Hummingbird Casita, which was cozy, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature — the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life.Robin, the owner and host, was exceptional. Warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, she made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Her thoughtful touches — from fresh eggs to locally sourced snacks (many made by her!) — made our stay even more special.One of our favorite experiences was enjoying morning coffee while wandering the walking labyrinth, a peaceful and meditative way to start the day. The close proximity to Patagonia Lake made it easy for us to raft and enjoy the stunning mountain birdlife.And we can’t forget the infinity hot tub — an especially terrific way to unwind and take in the dramatic monsoon evenings. Soaking under the vast desert sky while the storms rolled through was pure magic.If you’re looking for a serene, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated stay with a host who genuinely cares about your experience, Birdsong Retreat is it. We’re already looking forward to returning!

Amazing place

Stunning views, perfect for star gazing especially from the jacuzzi. ThisPlace has a well equipped small kitchen space, adorable fridge, an extremely comfortable bed. Place is quiet and I would recommend this place to anyone!

Retirement celebration trip

We had a wonderful time at the property and in the area. The property is amazing, with lots of space and privacy as well as fun entertainment like the most amazing hot tube ever! The views from Birdsong are spectacular! We had a hard time making ourselves leave the property but there are so many great things to do in the area that we did manage to get out and about. Love Birdsong and the area. We will be back and with friends!

Meant to Be

It was exactly the place my dog Dottie and I needed to be this weekend. It was tranquil and relaxing. It felt homey and yet a departure. The massage I scheduled was great. The greeting basket for both my dog and I was wonderful. The communication with owner was great. I loved being here. I loved watching the birds and strolling the grounds. Its very close to besutiful state parks as well.

Short getaway

Very nice little place. Great that we could bring the dogs. And with no one out most of Saturday we were able to have the dogs swimming too! Unfortunately I got sick the afternoon of our second day and spent the rest of our time in bed. But it was a comfy bed!

Peaceful getaway

Just what we needed!

We were traveling to see parents and stopped by for just a night. We were looking for a place that we could relax and unwind this place was the perfect fit. We got the treat of a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Robin was an amazing host and the property was clean and comfortable. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. A+

Quiet with beautiful views

My husband and I stayed in the Hummingbird Casita while birding in the area . Robin was very welcoming and gave good directions to the Casita. The unit is well stocked with everything you could possibly need and was super comfortable. It’s very private and quiet except when we could hear coyotes howling at night. We loved the coffee and granola that was provided. A lovely place in a lovely setting.

Beautiful Location

We stayed in the Hummingbird Casita for our 10th anniversary weekend. It was clean, well-stocked, and the views were amazing! The cute kitchen was perfect for making coffee, breakfast, or a small meal (she even had an electric kettle—always appreciated as a tea drinker). We spent one afternoon just lounging on the swings and enjoying the view. It was great! Would definitely return.

Favorite rental ever

I’ve booked VRBO rentals for years for family vacations & getaways with my husband and the hummingbird casita was my favorite rental of all time. Robin was an amazing host - left us homemade brownies and lemon water, was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay over the app, while also giving us complete privacy. The casita itself is perfect - extremely clean and comfortable and impressively functional and well-laid out for the amount of space. The kitchen deserves recognition - I was pleasantly surprised at how well-stocked and organized that little kitchen was. I cooked 2 full meals and had everything I needed and more. But the BEST thing about this place is the location. Wow. The view, the climate, everything about this place made us never want to leave. Within hours of being there, my husband and I felt our bodies and souls relax and unwind. In fact, we spent a day looking at land in the area because in the end, this may be our forever home. Despite being so remote and away from the hustle and bustle, we had excellent cell service and wi-fi, with a large television to enjoy. The place also had very clean tap water and great water pressure and a wonderful bathroom & shower. We met Robin in person on the last day we were there and she is wonderful. HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for a place to relax, breathe and take in some gorgeous views of God’s creation.
