”We were in the area for a wedding and this was the perfect central location between the venue in Portsmouth and all the attractions in Newport. The included breakfast was amazing as well as all of the staff. The pool in the photos isn’t a thing yet (there’s construction happening in the backyard now) but when it’s done I’m sure it’s going to be very nice! Would definitely stay here again when the renovations are complete! ”

”The property was clean, free and easy parking. check in was fast. Breakfast was very good and even had a gluten free muffin which we rarely find! Room was very clean and nice, the kitchen actually had most things that were needed. Close to food, grocery store, gas and attractions. The only issue was that the pool wasn't open while we were there and my son really wanted to go. But the hotel next door was nice enough to let us use theirs. ”

”For the price, the hotel is correct. It’s a great location. It needs refreshing, but it was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but again, for the price it was sufficient. I would stay again.”

”If you're looking for new, bright, shiny, and cookie-cutter, this isn't the place for you. But if you prefer quaint, historic, unique, and romantic, you'll ebjoy your stay as we did. Our room was clean and comfortable, the included brrakfast was plentiful and filling, there was on-site parking, and the location was judt minutes from everything. We would definitely return.”

”Very friendly staff, and comfortable bed. TV didn't connect with remote so we had to get up to turn up the volume and turn on the tv, which was a little annoying. Wifi doesn’t work very well, pretty low speed. Breakfast was delicious at hydrangea house (offered on the first day) and just ok in the manor. Overall staff is friendly and I would stay here again for a no frills stay. ”

”Easy parking next door. Great value for the money, amazing location. Room was not large, but had all the expected amenities. Complimentary breakfast buffet was quite good.”

”The Vanderbilt is fabulous! The building is beautiful- the sleeping rooms and the lobby and dining areas. After a day walking down Bellevue Ave, it was great to go to the indoor pool and relax. The gym was clean and had all the necessary equipment. And the staff was welcoming and helpful. It was a great stay!”

”Yes it was accommodating to the pets. First room they gave me had ants, threw out the bathroom and all over the beds. They moved my room and it smelt like pee human pee through the hallways”
