”We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Lockton 6 apartment. Brilliant location right on the beach very handy as i had young kids and family members with mobility issues with me. Was great for nipping back to get a change of clothes or snacks. The apartment and location ticked all our boxes and staff were friendly. The on site parking was great. ”I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. ”Lovely welcoming staff. Friendly atmosphere. Well stocked bar with plenty of seating & a beer garden. Great cooked breakfast. Everywhere well cleaned. ”Misleading information from staff ruined what should have been a simple experience. We were told at reception that our voucher could be used for afternoon tea, then showed it again in the lounge before ordering and were seated without issue. Only at payment were we told it didn’t apply and charged full price, which feels completely unacceptable. ”the view from the front is stunning, however parking is rather haphazard. A bay that was reserved was filled as soon as I drove away, meaning that when I returned 30 minutes later another vehicle was in my spot. ”
