Perfect Cottage for Extended Family/Friends

Welcome to beautiful Chandos Lake. This cottage is perfect for extended family/friends. 2 separate areas, each with their own fully equipped kitchens (including a Keurig coffee machine), full bathrooms and a total of 5 bedrooms. Easy access, lots of parking and a level lot. There is a large dock and there are multiple decks to hang out on. Jump right in off the dock (7 feet deep) or walk right in from the small sandy beach. There is a fire pit with lots of firewood, a horseshoe pit, 2 kayaks, a small pedal boat, lots of pool noodles, 2 bbq's, 3 patio tables and lots of chairs. A small tin boat with a small motor is also available for those who have their boating license. For rainy days or evenings there are lots of games and a large TV/DVD player and a variety of DVD's. All bedrooms without bunk beds have a ceiling fan. Rooms with bunk beds have standup fans. The cottage is not pet friendly (due to allergies) and while there is good cell service, there is no wifi. The local marina's serve Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream and have worms for fishing, there are a few local restaurants/pubs within a 15 minute drive and the Gut Conservation Area is located close by.

Garbage and recycling pickup occurs every Monday morning at the end of the driveway. All recycling must be separated and placed in the many available blue bins. All garbage (including diapers, feminine products and compost) must be in clear garbage bags and placed in the animal proof garbage bin at the end of the driveway.

A cleaning fee is waived with the expectation that garbage and recycling is placed at the end of the driveway upon departure, all food and belongings are removed, and the cottage is left in a tidy condition with all dishes washed.

Local by-laws require that campfires cannot occur before 6pm, and must be extinguished with water before it is left alone (the lake is about 10 feet away).

You must bring your own linen (bedding and towels), personal hygiene products and your own bottled water. The cottage uses lake water and is on a septic system. Only the 3 P's are to be flushed down the toilet (Pee, Poo and toilet Paper).

No camping permitted on the property and please be respectful of our cottage community (noise and light travels quickly).

This is a family cottage and we'd like to learn a little bit about you before we rent to you. We are offering an opportunity to quietly enjoy the lake and cottage life when we can't.
