Ocean Bay Club 1006 is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath oceanfront condo located in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach. This 10th floor vacation rental is tastefully decorated and has a king bed in the master bedroom, TV, and master bath. 2 twin beds are in the 2nd, a queen and twin bed are in the 3rd, and a queen bed is in the 4th bedroom. Each bedroom has a TV. Unit 1006 has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living area, balcony, washer/dryer, and free WiFi. Ocean Bay Club has an indoor pool, outdoor pool, lazy river, Jacuzzi, and fitness room. All parking is on-site.

Ocean Bay Club is a two block walk to the popular Main Street in Ocean Drive. Here you can find local shops, eateries, and the most popular pubs and clubs on the Grand Strand. Enjoy Shops on Main and the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre for a night of family fun and entertainment. Just a short drive away, there are popular shopping venues that include Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach, and Tanger Outlet. For family fun, Pirates Voyage, Carolina Opry, House of Blues, and the Alabama Theater are some favorites. Not only is the Grand Strand the Golf Capital of the World but a shaggers paradise! Kids will have a blast at Family Kingdom Amusements, the Wax Museum, Grand Prix, Wonder Works, and the popular Sky Wheel.

* 3 parking passes are allowed.
* Families only. No student groups. Minimum age to rent is 25.
* This is a non-smoking property, except in designated areas.
* Pets are not allowed on the property by guests.

* Golf carts are not allowed on the property by guests.
* Parking garage height restrictions: Ground Level: height restriction 8 feet 6 inches. Parking Levels 1-6: Height restriction is 6 feet, 8 inches.
* The main pool will be heated in April, May, October, and November.

Awesome Family Vacay

We has a wonderdul stay at 1006 Ocean Bay Club. Our condo was just as shown on the pictures...Love it! Perfect location to Main St and all the nightlife activities. Everything within walking distance. Seaside vacations was so very easy to work with and responded back quickly prior to our stay and during. Very nice folks! Thanks for an amazing vacay:)

Golf trip

Overall perfect for our golf trip, enough rooms for everyone, kitchen and bathrooms were ideal. Not the cleanest, some furniture was missing pieces, TVs weren’t connected. Very loud kids at 2am and fireworks went off at midnight

Amazing!

We had a great stay here. Everything was super clean. Plenty of room for our family of 7. We enjoyed everything. The view was great! Another plus for us was that the outdoor pool was heated for our "cool" getaway, not to mention the hot tub was very relaxing. I enjoyed cooking all our meals in the kitchen.

It was a very nice place to stay. Loved the area. Overall clean. But the AC didn't work well. I bought fans for each room. To try to feel comfortable enough to sleep. The ice maker was very nasty. (The hole the ice comes out of.) I cleaned it with bleach wipes.

First family trip to myrtle

Our stay was great. Condo was conveniently located in walking distance to several local shops and eateries. Also just a short drive to local groceries and restaurants. Great beach access just a very short walk from the elevators. Pool and lazy river and surrounding area was very clean and well kept. Security on property all day and was very friendly and willing to help. Drawbacks: Parking garage is very tight for larger vehicles like our expedition EL. There were several problems with the unit. Lights in kitchen didn't work half the time and the washing machine lid would get stuck shut. However when we called for these issues the management had service tech there within a few hours to fix the problem. Unit could use a refreshing but otherwise it was great for our family of 8 for a week. Will definitely stay with this complex again.

Good Property

We had a nice stay with our extended family (9 people total). The unit was good but with some challenges. Property management was very friendly and helpful, and was appreciative when I told them about issues, but they didn't follow through on those issues without repeat requests. The curtain in the master bedroom was still broken (as mentioned by Tim P. review), and it took several calls to get action. The handyman that came made a temporary fix and permanent fix is still needed. The slider to balcony was extremely difficult to open and the handle broke halfway through the week. My call to property management was quickly answered and I was promised someone to fix the next morning. No one ever came, and I reminded them when checking out. Yes, we needed to run dishwasher every evening, but with 9 people that wasn't surprising to me. The building was well kept and I appreciated the security. Overall, I would recommend considering this unit or building, but I will probably steer clear of this property management group for future stays.

Not good

The place wasn't clean, the silverware was dirty, floors dirty, couches stunk like sweaty crack, the big rug in the living room smelled so bad like feet etc etc. The water pressure was so low in the shower, but the water was very hot... Small things like the didn't give you enough silverware you had to wash dishes every meal and toasters didn't work right etc. The security guards was too strict, I like security but they would make rounds checking bands and pointing out every tiny thing anyone would do like "that chair is too close to the pool" , "you kids can't throw a ball in the pool" , "you can't have a cup in the pool" it was a pain, I mean I know they don't want chaos but just go and see what I'm talking about. Above all that we were terrified of the balcony because they have a rule if anything is thrown or comes off the balcony (towels, food, grain of sand) you will be fined $500.00! I mean come on...

Nice, but Condo needs some attention

The condo is very outdated, the problem is it needs some attention. Almost all the faucets leek, the master toilet runs. In the master bedroom, the curtain is broken on the track, we could not open for the view. The washer and dryer needs to be replaced. The phone rang one day and I answered it. It was a bill collector looking for the owner, because of a past due plumbing bill. The location was very nice and the beach was beautiful. I definitely felt safe! Just needs some love and attention

Great location but very dated

The location is great, very close to Main Street but the unit is in dire need of a remodel or at the very least, some new furniture. The dining room chairs were covered with clear vinyl and all of the plastic was cracked and split. Patio furniture was very rusty. All furnishings are very old and dated. Paintings on wall are not even even, very haphazard. Just needs some TLC.

The unit was not cleaned properly. Dust and objects under couches & beds, dirt on ceiling fans. Plumbing issue promptly addressed. Great location, nice view of ocean from balcony.

Dirty and out dated

Condo is desperate need of some overhauling. None of the faucets worked correctly- difficult to turn completely off. Toilets continue running unless you intervene. Washer only runs with something heavy on the lid. Dryer doesnt dry well. HVAC filter was filthy. Back bedrooms receive no cooling, so you burn up while other end of condo is an ice box. All TVs in bedrooms are tiny. Wi-fi is very spotty. Community pool closes earlier than surrounding properties- 7 PM. Would not stay again.
