”This rental is a perfect place for a small family or two couples to base their Lake Superior adventure from. There’s enough room for everyone to have their own space as well as room for everyone to get together to play a game or share a meal. Wi-Fi was great and kitchen was stocked appropriately.”

”What a great property! My wife and I had our two sets of parents with us for a long weekend in DC. We loved having Lakewood Lodge as our home base for adventures around the county, as well as our refuge when it was time to relax, nap, or cook dinners in. We loved unwinding in the evenings in front of the three-season porch's fireplace with glasses of wine. Beds were all comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that could have been better is that a few of the light bulbs around the house...

”We just love these cottages and the community. It is absolutely beautiful in the summer and winter. Everything is clean and this cottage had all the kitchen utensils and equipment needed. The only think is the upstairs area gets quite warm to due to fireplace having to be on. Maybe install another ceiling fan in the bedroom? We just loved our stay and can't wait to visit again.”

”Worked great for us with bedrooms on three levels with three different living/family rooms. Kayaks and canoe were fun for a quick spin on the river. Paddle upstream first so the current carries you back. ”

”This home is a great location for gatherings. It has 4 comfortable bedrooms and large open accommodating common spaces. Even though it rained almost our entire time the living spaces kept us having fun together at the large tables and great room style TV viewing room. We would have loved to have used the kayaks and canoe. Next time!”
