Nestled in the serene Blue Spirit community, Casa Escondida is a peaceful modern home surrounded by lush tropical forest and beautifully landscaped gardens. This private retreat features a fully equipped kitchen, a covered terrace, and a 42-foot swimming pool—perfect for morning laps or a refreshing dip in the shallow end designed for children. Located just a 5-minute drive from the southern end of stunning Playa Guiones, the home offers the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. Guests can also walk 12-15 minutes to the renowned Blue Spirit Retreat Center or explore nearby Playa Garza for quiet beaches, local dining, and deep-sea fishing adventures.

Situated at the south end of Playa Guiones, Casa Escondida is surrounded by natural beauty and abundant wildlife, including howler monkeys, iguanas, and tropical birds. At low tide, the ocean reveals fascinating tide pools, while high tide welcomes fun in the waves. Guiones Village is just a short drive away, offering world-class surfing, boutique shops, yoga studios, and a variety of restaurants.
Playa Garza (5-minute drive) offers a quiet swimming beach, local dining, and fishing charters.
A car is recommended, but taxis and airport shuttles are available.
Multi-week discounts are available.
For stays of 30 days or more, electricity is billed separately.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CONSTRUCTION
Please be aware that there is ongoing construction in the Blue Spirit community, which may result in daytime noise. Construction hours are Monday–Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no work permitted on Sundays. We appreciate your understanding as the neighborhood continues to grow.
LOCAL QUIRKS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AREA OF COSTA RICA
While Costa Rica's infrastructure is steadily improving, it's important to note that some things are beyond our control. During your stay, you may experience occasional dust, bugs, and power, water, or internet outages. These are common in the area and part of the experience of immersing yourself in a different country and culture.
If staying connected is essential during your visit, we recommend looking into internet data plans available through your cellular provider. Additionally, please be aware that Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities, which means construction noise may be present between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. We make every effort to keep our guests informed about ongoing construction that may impact their stay, but unfortunately, we do not always receive advance notice of new projects.
Regarding plumbing, please note that the septic system in Nosara does not allow toilet paper to be flushed (with a few exceptions). We kindly ask that you adhere to this guideline during your stay.
We are committed to providing the best possible experience, but we want to ensure that all guests are aware of these local quirks before booking. Refunds and concessions will not be provided for the above-mentioned issues, as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out before booking.

Kindly note that while we honor our cancellation policy, any processing or payment gateway fees incurred during your reservation are non-refundable in the event of a guest-initiated cancellation, even if your cancellation qualifies for a full or partial refund. This policy does not apply if the host cancels the reservation.
We want to ensure that your stay in Nosara is safe and enjoyable. Like many beach communities, petty theft can occasionally be an issue in the area. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, so we kindly ask that you take the following precautions during your stay:
Always keep doors and windows locked when you're away from the property and at night. If your sliding doors or windows have security bars, please ensure they are in place. If you cannot find the bars, contact us as soon as possible.

Never leave valuables or personal items unattended when you leave the house, including electronics, identification, and anything else of apparent value.

Do not leave valuables in your car while you’re out, and avoid leaving anything on your front or back patios unattended.

If your property has a security alarm, always set it when you leave, even for short periods of time.

While a security guard is not included with your rental, we can arrange for one upon request. If you'd like to hire a security guard for part or all of your stay, please let us know during the booking process and specify the hours you'd like covered.
Please be aware that, even with these precautions in place, theft can still occur in Nosara. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager are not responsible for any loss of items due to theft.
