”Always a great stay, friendly good service. Kettle was older and had it swapped pretty quickly as was not working. Relaxing stay and fairly good value for money. ”We were stopping at the Lock overnight following a funeral. Reception for check in is in the pub/restaurant (obviously a cost saving exercise). Room was clean and comfortable, no tea/coffee on the drinks tray but to be honest we were so tired we weren’t having one. Comfy bed, room warm enough and minimal noise from guests in other rooms. ”

”Shared a room with three adults during Download festival. Pros: Hotel was conveniently located and everything worked well, staff were friendly and hot shower for everyone. Room was sufficiently spacious to fit three adults and their luggage during a 4 night stay. Cons: Spare bed (cot bed) had some sharp edges and was of course not the most comfortable sleep for 4 nights. ”

”Ear plugs by hotel waiting in the room was an ominous sign. All fans were noisy: the A/C was moderately noisy, bit more than should have, the shower room exit fan was very noisy.
