Uhuru was a nice place to stay, and the staff was truly lovely, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my visit. The price was also quite reasonable.
The biggest challenge was the frequent power outages. I understand that this was an issue with the local power grid and completely outside of the hotel’s control, but unfortunately, it did impact my experience. The power went out every day or night during my stay, sometimes for extended periods, which meant no lights and no access to WiFi.
I also wish I had realized just how far the hotel was from the beach. I enjoyed exploring the area and walking around, but had I understood the distance beforehand, I probably would have chosen a location a little closer to the beach.
That said, the property itself is lovely, the staff could not have been nicer, and the price was very reasonable. With more reliable power, I think my experience would have been quite different.
