”The Hayloft is beautifully renovated, and the property is so peaceful and quiet. The smell of wood welcomes you when you enter the loft. It is immaculately detailed and so clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and each evening, the owners came down to feed the cows; a delight to watch. We walked the trail along the property, and our favorite spot was walking out of the woods into an open field with beautiful green grass and newly planted trees. Absolutely gorgeous!! We will definitely stay...

”Wonderful place for the perfect getaway! Just like the photos definitely worth every penny. Just have in mind that you are in the woods so the bugs are inevitable but the inside of the place was very clean.Me and my family took advantage of all the amenities from the grill, hot tub, fire place. Don't think twice and book this place!”

”Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! ”

”David is an incredible host! We cannot thank him enough for hosting us for a week! Everything was just as described in the listing. The rooms were comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. David was extremely receptive to all communication and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time in Canaan. We will definitely be back! *Don’t forget your fishing poles! Our 6yo son caught a huge bass, and two huge trout!”

”What a beautiful home! If we needed a place for a larger group I would absolutely stay here! We only needed a very small space so we stayed in the basement room which was perfect...large bathroom, laundry, kitchen and right on the river! Definitely a winner!”

”A perfect location for our family - we put in our kayaks at the state park right around the corner because of the motorboat traffic at the dock access, so we were glad it was so convenient. After hiking and paddling our kids loved playing pool and making smores in the evenings. This was a great house!”

”The Historic Farm property was beautiful! Our family enjoyed fishing at the pond and biking in and around the property. We hiked and swam in the nearby State Parks. The bedrooms were spacious and the king sized beds comfortable. It was great to have meals with the whole family around the large dining room table. The ice machine in the cozy kitchen was an added bonus.”
