”Was very clean👍”

”There is noooo customer service. The male at the front desk has a horrible attitude and seems to be in a bad mood at all times even the way he answers the phone is so unprofessional. When I booked it said breakfast was included but there is no breakfast.”

”It is an old motel. Smells musty, stairs not clean. Shower head needs to be changed, not very effective. Fridge was leaking water. Bed skirt was a tripping hazard. Not good if traveling with elderly. I did like the many exits”

”This is a very old, historic hotel so I came to it with some skepticism. I had some family visiting from the East Coast and wanted to spend a few nights in San Francisco and usually stay in the large chain hotels. I wanted to do something out of the ordinary and this hotel looked very cool. I noticed it was built in 1908 and started to wonder about amenities and overall upkeep. I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the property, rooms, breakfast area and the butterfly bar. ...

”The hotel is very unique and worth a stay. The staff was great. The breakfast was good and convenient. The parking was extremely convenient and reasonably priced. The location was perfect with a short walk to Japantown, Polk Gulch, and Pacific Heights. Maybe twice that walk to Union Square and Civic Center. The beds in our room were overly soft, not sure about others.”

”Such a clean and charming bed and breakfast with so much character. The shared spaces are welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic each and every day! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future.”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....
