The room had a strong mildew odor the moment I walked in, and there was visible mold in multiple areas, including around the bathroom and air vents. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable — stained linens, dirty floors, and obvious lack of proper maintenance. What made the experience worse was the feeling that these issues were not new and had likely been ignored for a long time. No guest...

”The room was filthy, the sheets had some blood on them. The carpets were dirty, the front elevator was out of order. There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. I had to change rooms because the key didn't work. Housekeeping gave me a clean bath mat, but did not remove the dirty towels and I had to request clean face towels the next day. On the day of arrival, there was a vagrant man that came into the hotel lobby several times and he was spewing profanity at the top of his lungs. I...

”The staff at the Alder is above and beyond! Roomy rooms. One pointer. Ask for a room that doesn’t face front. There is a home full of roosters across the street and you get woken up at 5 a.m. or better yet bring a sound machine!”
