  • This spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath house is located in rural Calhoun County South Carolina, about 8 miles west of Orangeburg. It is convenient to Columbia (40 miles ) or Charleston (about 90 miles). The house is located on the back of our family operated 200 acre working cattle farm. Nestled in the woods on the edge of a 14 acre private pond, the house offers a great escape from daily life. The pond is home to an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy a peaceful day of fishing, swimming, paddling the pond, or simply sit on the covered front porch and take in the view of the pond.

Absolutely beautiful property

Absolutely loved this property! Me and my husband stayed the weekend for our anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing! So relaxing and the fish in the lake are a bonus for sure! We will be booking this property again hopefully come spring!

A nice property with a cute pond

We enjoyed staying at this vrbo over Thanksgiving. It was a little hard to find using google maps and would have been more difficult at night.

Beautiful Private Getaway

The property is tucked away in a beautiful location! It was quiet and so peaceful that it made things so much better as well. From the house to the hot tub and dock on the water there was not a moment that went by we didn’t take advantage of it. Highly recommend this property.

Relaxing Oasis

The owners were very helpful and responsive. The property has everything we needed for our stay. The pond was a little difficult to access but it was very relaxing to have the view and nature surround. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Location in Orangeburg, SC

This property is perfect for anyone traveling for work. The locationg is peaceful, quiet, and feels secluded although restaurants and shopping are in close proximity. Highly recommend!!! The owner is exceptional in communcation!

The Perfect Getaway

Peaceful and quiet location. Away from the day to day crazy city life. The house was perfect, our host was kind, amazing and responsive if we had a question. We will absolutely be back!

Peace And Quiet

The property was exactly what I was looking for. Tucked away, quiet, secluded, gorgeous weather, relaxing, and easy to find. Home is so comfy and cozy. Far enough away to get away for a few days and just breathe and escape from day to day life. Home was clean and had everything you would need. Host was very kind and polite. Would def book again.

Pond house

The overall experience was wonderful. We stayed during a holiday weekend and had the best time. The pictures do not do the property justice. Fishing was the highlight for my family. We cooked almost every meal at the property and pots pans and every dish you can need is provided. Mama Kountry Kitchen was 20 mins away and was sooo good.

Still the best private fishing spot in SC

This is my 3rd time staying at this property, and it gets better every time. Tris is an absolute joy to deal with and they are making improvements to it all the time! If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy with family or have a guys trip to just get some fishing in this is the place to do it! There are monster fish in here and they do a great job making sure the population of Bass stay healthy. we have pulled 9 Bass over 6 pounds out of this amazing place (released of course) with the biggest being 8 lbs! you will love it here i have no doubt!

Great quiet getaway

Exactly what were looking for….. nice and quiet getaway but close enough to whatever you need. The kids had plenty to do, the house was comfortable, and the property owner was very friendly.

Like a Dream!

This was our first time ever renting using VRBO. The process was easy and you can communicate with the owners of the property with any questions. This property was amazing! Like a beautiful dream I never wanted to wake up from! The house was gorgeous! The pond and land was a beautiful landscape. They have a canoe, 3 kayaks and a John boat that you can use to explore the pond. Which is amazing my kids got to learn how to kayak for the first time. You can fish your heart out here! The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We got to meet the owner Tris and his son. They were so friendly and were always available to help with any needs. We enjoyed ourselves so much! We will be coming back in the future. I said I wish I could copy and paste this property 😃

Lovely Get Away

The house and property were immaculate. It was wonderful they they provide boats, paddles so we could enjoy the pond. Highly recommend it you are looking for a quiet place to spend a few relaxing days. The owner and family were very friendly and helpful.

Great place but needed work

The location was quiet and off the beaten path. The place was not cleaned very well when we got there. Also AC in one room barely worked and leaked onto floor. The property owner came and looked and was fixed for a day but then started doing same thing. Hot water heater quit working and we were without hot water for the day. Property owner was very responsive and came out and fixed. Juccuzzi was dirty and I had to go and get a vacuum to clean it.

Amazing for all ages!

I am so grateful that I booked this home for my family while we explored Congaree National Park. As a single mom of 5 children that range from age 6 to 17, it really takes a lot to keep everyone happy. The last day of the trip all the children decided to just stay at the house and not go back to the park. They were constantly swimming, fishing, kayaking, in the hot tub or making hotdogs or marshmallows on the fire pit. I honestly do not think the children spent much time in the house and I know the TV never turned on. The house stayed cool on the hot days and the hot tub was amazing to sit in while watching the children. The hosts were just amazing and very responsive. I just cannot give this place enough praise!

Very relaxing and beautiful. The morning sunrise and evening sunset was amazing💛

My husband 5 kids and I stayed for 5 days and we loved it! We all fit comfortably, We had so much fun. It was so peaceful and quiet! We loved kayaking around the pond. We did some fishing! We went to the Ocean as well for a day at Folly beach and it also was very nice and family friendly!!!! We felt very comfortable there as if we were at our own home. Central air was very nice after being in the south carolina heat all day. We will definitely be visiting again.
