”From checking in to check out the staff were friendly professional and even when busy were cheerful. Accommodation was clean comfortable and quiet. Access to either restaurant or cafe was easy. Good selection at the bar and meals were great standard.”

”This has been my favourite UK staycation! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The rooms were clean and have everything you need with a few extra touches like dressing gown, heaters/hot water bottle and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast was soo tasty! The location is perfect and not too far from everything..lovely views of cheviot hills. I have nothing negative to say...it was the perfect stay! Thank you! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Northumberland!”

”This was a lovely place to stay which we chose partly because it has some EV charging facilities. The restaurant and bar have a good selection with well kept beer and the staff are helpful and friendly. We especially recommend the panna cotta, however, all the food was good. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed with tea, coffee and water. We would visit again ”

”2 night stay , parking was perfect , the room was a very generous double … huge bed , and in like a motel type set up . So despite being on a road was not noisy . Perfect to explored Holy Island Donna one of staff was a 5star herself , nothing was too much trouble , and we were welcomed and well looked after -thanks ”

”Really enjoyed our night in the blue bell , lovely room and a very comfortable bed. Very nice meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast in the morning what’s not to like so when we find ourselves hiking in the area again we will definitely be looking to stay a night or two in the Blue bell”

”Overall excellent place to stay. Staff friendly and service fantastic. The only downside was music could be heard from the bar area at night until approximately 10pm. This didn’t bother us, but it’s worth bearing in mind when making a reservation. Location was superb, short drive to Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses for trips to the Farne Isles and even Holy Island was within reach. The beautiful beach at Beadnell was only a short walk away. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and probably one of the...

”Friendly staff, nice breakfast, unfortunately no hot water for the whole weekend. Staff kept saying it was repaired but that wasn't the case. The weekend, was cold and wet so no hot shower was pretty grim.”

”Great location just yards from the beach, as base for visiting nearby attractions such as bamburgh castle and Cragside. Rocky in parts but otherwise golden sand beach and again short walk to Seahouses. Just lovely seaside resort. Hotel staff friendly and food excellent with choice of dining room or lounge to relax. Would stay again.”
