”Such a fun one-night staycation at the legendary Phoenix Hotel. Cool sexy room, warm dip in the iconic pool and fun in the courtyard with friends. With the history of the Phoenix and being a local musician, it had a lot of meaning to stay there. I hope someone keeps it going in January! ”

”I have stayed across the street at the Clift and the Marker may be my new favorite! Very comfortable, roomy, quiet and clean. The common areas are beautiful!”

”The room was spacious and clean! Bedding was very nice and comfortable. The location was central and close to the Opera House which was the reason for our visit. We did have a hard time finding a restaurant close by after the performance and ended up eating next door to the hotel at Mel's. Not exactly a meal to remember but it honestly wasn't bad. Parking garage was very convenient and dare I say affordable at $49 with in/out priledges. I would definitely stay at the Courtyard location again! ”

”Good location and adequate room. However, the wash basin was all dirty as were the wine glasses. For breakfast over 30 min wait to get the food. Sloppy management.”

”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”

”Location excellent, walking distance to many places and right next to BART station and Muni stops. Service was fine, no problems at all. Hotel has many activities so can spend time at hotel as well, including two pool tables. Did not try the breakfast, mainly due to the a la carte price.”
