”Well appointed beyond its price with attentive staff and handsome spaces. The fireplace is magnificent and the bartender properly old world. The tea was the kind that makes an Englishman question his choices but we hold San Francisco responsible for this. Otherwise, most agreeable.”

”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”

”Great customer service, but not too keen on the idea of having to park in a nearby parking garage.”

”It would have been nice to be told ahead of time not to go to the parking garage before checking in. We had to take our suitcase down 2 sets of stairs to get to the lobby, then back up those stairs to get to the elevator to get to our room. The bed was very firm. Not my favorite, but it was okay. The AC smelled musty and by the morning, my husband was sneezing and congested.”

”I had a lovely stay at Hotel Kabuki. Staff were friendly and helpful and check-in was a breeze. The room was super comfortable, decorated nicely, and had a great city view. The only minor observation is that the desk was very worn, with the stain scratched off the places where you have the most wear. The location is excellent; I appreciated being in a central location with easy travel to other parts of the city. There's tons of shopping and dining nearby or an easy walk away.”
