”Great decor, close to the concert venue our son was going to. Parking was a bit difficult so we had to circle around a few times until the front desk guy came out and explained it was confusing. We appreciated him taking time off to explain how to find public parking since their parking lot was full. ”

”Swimmers beware: I booked this stay specifically because of the lap pool. However, the pool is closed without an expected re-open date. The pool is still advertised everywhere. The hotel was otherwise fine, and I appreciated the included breakfast and the view from the restaurant area.”

”We really enjoyed our staying in stylish Proper Hotel San Francisco. We got excellent, yet easygoing service and ate delicios breakfast. The room itself was fine design with high quality toiletries. Because of the not-so-safe district where the hotel is, it’s good to understand, that the view out of the window and late walking on the streets is not recommended. Nevertheless these facts didn’t bother us too much.”

”The majestic hotel is so beautiful! It was clean, safe, and had the lux vibes you want on vacation. I love historic hotels. If you are a fan of Victorian decor and want to experience historic San Francisco architecture this place is for you. First or all, San Francisco neighborhoods can be hit or miss. ”Great location if you need to be downtown. We were there for two nights for a show at Bill Graham and it was great walking to everywhere. Only thing I would have changed is that the “view” that I paid extra for was not viewable from anywhere in the room except the bathroom. Plus the room was quite tiny. Other than that, positive experience. ”

”Location, staff, and decor are great. It is a little dated but you gotta appreciate the dedication to Victorian charm. The rooms and also very spacious. Unfortunately, there was some trash left on the floor of our room when we checked in and the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Comfy beds, though! ”
