”Breakfast , parking, staff, cleanliness”

”Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school...

”Room was big and clean with a lovely bed. Bathroom was ok but looking a bit tired. Parking was easy. Breakfast was great, everything you could want including omlettes. Didnt like the orange juice was more like orange squash. Public areas were modern and clean.”

”Comfortable”

”Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms.”

”What a beautiful room! Great to have a sofa and a big tv with lots of channels to choose from. Slept fairly well, but there was no aircon and the windows opened just a little bit. It’s a bit far from the city centre but totally walkable. Train station about 10 min walk away. It was a lovely stay overall, but very pricey.”

”We booked this as a last minute booking and wasn't sure ehat we were expecting but wow what a place! Beautifully designed, nice and relaxing. Staff couldnt do enough and great value for the rooms, Breakfast was lovely too! Only 20 minutes away from York City Centre will definitely be staying again”

”Great decor in a fantastic location. Front desk is fabulous. Went above and beyond would stay there again for sure.”

”Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind. ”

”Staff was super helpful, and it has an all around package”

”Hotelli lähetti minulle etukäteen pyynnön tehdä check-in. Täytin tiedot heidän check-in lomakkeeseen. Kuitenkin, kun tulin paikanpäälle, niin vastaanottovirkailija sanoi etten ollut check-iniä etukäteen tehnyt. Näytin hänelle heiltä tulleen sähköpostin ja menin linkkiä pitkin check-in sivustolle, jossa on vahvistus että check-in olin tehnyt. Asiakaspalvelija ei pahoitellut tai myöntänyt virhettään, vaan kuittasi asian ainostaan, että ei ne etukäteen tehdyt check-in toimi. Sain tehtyä check-in...

”Was all fine apart from strangers blone hairs hanging off lamp in room and also lamp had never had a dust in what looked like many months. Didn't want to have a proper look around incase anything else was found!!”

”Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

”Very rude staff and rooms that are not great for the price they charge. The parking situation is also pretty bad, ended up having to park quite far from the hotel entrance, and with lots of luggage, it was an extra hassle. I'd say spend your money elsewhere.”
