”We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.”

”Someone else said old but well maintained. They were correct. I walked into the room and the AC was off. It was about 80 in the room. No odd smell. Just hot. The AC cooled it down quickly and efficiently. The sheets were soft. Choice of flat or fat pillows. Bed was hard, but at least it was clean and smell free. I’m picky, and was satisfied”

”This hotel is garbage, I DONT RECOMMEND this to my friend. We paid almost 500$ for 2 nights and then our deposites got deducted another 40$ because they think we’re smoking. Which is we’re not. My husband and I bought a candle for our special night . And then 60$ more because of the bed sheets have stain on it. And the shampoo and soap I don’t have nothing to say .What f kind of hotel is this. Don’t used this hotel for your vacation . NOT GOD AT ALL.”

”Coffee was horrible, one day no coffee at 7:45am, eggs were cold, staff was rude. Tiles in bathroom were loose. Old building not well maintained. We have to go to Chisago a couple more times and will definitely get hotel closer to MinneapolisWould rather drive 45 minutes than stay there again.”
