Convenient location just outside the core of Oxford. Nice walking trails nearby. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional (just watch your head on the low hanging vent hood). It was also quiet (notwithstanding the construction across the street and down the block) and the beds were clean and comfortable (even if the linens didn’t quite fit the beds).
I found communications a bit confusing with different interlocutors: Expedia, ‘Pass the Keys’, and ‘Bruce’. This made tracking this step of our multi city itinerary a bit more complicated.
Also I found it a bit surprising to be asked to water the Jasmine tree in the backyard to keep peace with the neighbours. We did follow through on the instructions to roll the garbage bins from the backyard through the house for morning collection out front.
No air conditioning made the warm early summer evenings uncomfortable. The couch was worn and stained, so we avoided using the living room.
Bathroom ventilation was very poor and showed with peeling plaster and mold. The bathroom window hinge was broken so we were reluctant to open it. Still small flies seemed to
find their way in through the ineffective exhaust vent and accumulated in the bathtub.
We were provided with four small ‘motel’ soaps and shampoos for the three of us, so we purchased our own shower wash and hand soap. We were also left two partial rolls of tp so we also purchased these supplies make it through the week.
