”The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English.”

The carpet was dusty (or at least not cleaned/vacuum cleaned) since the previous customer, nor was it cleaned between our 2 nights stay. What was much worse; in the room there was a stark moldy smell that did not go off even as we kept the windows from both sides of the room open for 2 full days & nights. ”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

”The room was compact but modern, stylish, comfortable, clean and totally functional. Oat milk and decaf coffee in the room. The were no windows, but I knew that when booking. Efficient staff - check in took 21 seconds! Great location. I went to a concert at Komedia, which is next door. Wetherspoons etc nearby.”

”Lovely clean hotel. Greatly placed for all of Bristols amenities/nightlife. Basin took a while to drainin bathroom but we reported it and no doubt it will be seen to. Value for money. Would stay again.”

”Lovely setting beautiful kept grounds . Large tv in the room soap and body wash in large containers over the bath couldn’t be accessed while your sitting in the bath they were set too high up the wall and one was empty . Staff were all relaxed and happy in their work couldn’t do enough for you especially the dining room staff”

Rooms are dark, low ceilings, out-updated furniture, etc. All in all, the hotel is good enough, though one may not think of it as a spa like experience, especially when considering that this is one of the attractions/ amenities that they are offering & advertising.”

”Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again.”

”Parking was very good lots of room. At reception we was greeted by a very helpful and friendly young lady (Anna) Fantastic job 👏. In fact all the staff where very helpful (Tsekani maintenance man) was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and plenty to eat very enjoyable. The hotel and rooms where very clean , I would definitely book here again if I am the area.”

”Nice one night stay in the hotel which is well situated for the city down the hill. Room and bathroom a decent size and tidy. Useful guide to Bath mag in room. Car park holds decent number of cars on site which is very handy. Very good cooked breakfast cooked to order. Building is attractive and has a bar though did not use that. Would recommend it”
