”The mouth of the Smith River is a magical place and the XVR Resort provided a first class way to experience it. I heartily recommend this place to anyone, especially those who may want to ‘unplug’, disconnect and enjoy an idyllic few days with nature. We’ll definitely be back!”

”I was welcomed by the owner was friendly and helpful. He told me about Sporty's restaurant offering a discount for the people staying at the motel. Great food there. The room was very clean and quiet, comfortable bed. I would definitely stay there again.”

”The room was relatively clean but when I went to open the window to get the stuffy smell out a giant spider web was strung across the screen. The walls were paper thin and we could hear the neighbors phone vibrating at night and when she sneezed my sweetheart even said "Bless you".. Attempting to sleep was also a nightmare with highway 395 right out side our window. Occasionally it felt like our bed was on the center line of the highway!! The ice machine work, however!”

”We had to get FOUR spiders out of our room. Not sure if it’s just the season here but we’ve never had that issue at any other hotel we’ve stayed at before.”

”Pet friendly and grass area for our dog. A gazibo covered area with chairs to relax in. Contact less check in. Staff via the phone very friendly and helpful. Was able to check in early with no extra charge. Had our room done and accessible as soon as possible. We will stay again.”

”The room was clean, the beds & pillows were comfortable. Our room had an ocean view. We left the windows open at night & could hear the sounds of the ocean which was heavenly.”

”Great place to stay with great prices. Rooms were clean and comfortable, extra pillows already on the bed and a good amount of blankets to keep you warm. Pool and hot tub looked inviting and the house keepers were friendly and helpful. Beaches, convenience stores and restaurants close by with a comfortable walk. May not be the newest or most expensive hotel in the area, but definitely comfortable and well worth the stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone..”
