”After more than a handful of night down the Pacific coast, this Inn clearly was a low point among a similarly priced family rooms. The room itself is small for two doubles, amenities are limited and the pool small. The breakfast is good but not exceptionally so. Rooms have no ventilation and the AC unit smells of mildew. Would recommend looking around ”

”My main issue is there is no AC!! You can not be comfortable without AC in any hotel. Also no coffee maker or microwave. You are very far off from anywhere so having these few things would help the stay much more enjoyable. If you are on for extra privacy pick some place else. But the Views!! OMG The VIEWS are AMAZING, very peaceful place to have some alone time. ”

”The location is great and the property is very nice. My only complaint is that every time I use Expedia the room I get is usually the room for disabilities. My last day we specifically booked a room that was not an ended up with the same old, same old. I wish somehow this trend could be eliminated. It really isn’t fair that when you book a non-ADA room I always get that very wrong.”

”Really like the location of the Franciscan hotel. It’s a five minute walk to the beach, but nestled in a residential community. The grounds of the hotel and the room were very clean. Nice wood laminate floors, and simple but sophisticated decor. The view of the Santa Barbara mountains at Sunset was beautiful. Chocolate chip cookies every afternoon ~ nice touch. Lori. Sept. 2024”

”Very nice and friendly staff welcomed us. We had a king room and it was spacious enough for two people. Microwave, fridge and coffeemaker in room were plus. The outside area is nice and many people were enjoying it during the day. We used the bikes for a few hours, very nice to provide them to guests. Only minor complaint is a small breakfast area which gets quite crowded.”

”Everything was great. Lorena is an absolute gem!! We specified we would be paying cash at check out. When checking out the man up front already had a receipt for a credit card transaction. We did not authorize that. We paid cash and had to tell him to give us a receipt that read CASH paid. We weren’t happy with that at all. That’s why the 4 stars.
