Family ski trip

Property was in a great neighborhood, easily accessible, and had many modern amenities. Plenty of room for everyone with comfortable accommodations. It was a 45 minute drive to Wolf Creek ski area. We would stay here again.

Perfect for 6 adults and 5 children. We enjoyed walking the trails in the forest that backed up to the house. We also enjoyed the pool table and our kids loved playing in the secret playhouse under the stairs. The owner provided us with a fire pit for s’mores. It was a great place to stay!

Everything was great, but you advertised a spa, even showed a picture of a spa, but we were very disappointed that there was no spa. Otherwise it was VERY well equipped.

Beautiful place to truly have some R & R!

Our large family of 10 had a fabulous time in Pagosa in this beautiful home. There was enough room for everyone (which has been hard to find on our annual trip there). The house was equipped with more than we expected which was a nice surprise. Our granddaughters had a blast with the “secret” room :) Beautiful setup in the back yard, very relaxing Close to the lake as well which was a bonus for us who like to fish. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Stay in a Gorgeous Home

Our grown children and grown grands joined us here. The house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable with the leather living room couches and comfy beds. We also found the location was just great as well, a quiet lovely neighborhood.The only draw back - the extra beds (trundles) and the only space for the extra blow up queen mattress are in the Master Suite. The stunning kitchen was an easy gathering spot and although it could use a couple new large frying pans it had everything else you could think of including baking sheets, mixing pans, mixers, cutting boards, decent knives and muffin tins. I'm a retired chef so it was a pleasure top cook in!

It was a wonderful stay, a gorgeous home. Our Evolve agent, Heather, was very helpful. The home had everything we needed! Only thing that could have made it better would be to be able to use the garage. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and had a blast snow skiing.

Can't wait to come back!

This house, this area, is so relaxing! We stayed 4 days and wished we could've stayed a lot longer! We loved the fully equipped chef's kitchen with the modern fixtures, and the huge granite-top island. The luxury beds and linens were super comfy. Would love to have the same bed and linens at home! We thought the "spaceship" combination shower and jet tub was so cool! Great shower!! We throughly enjoyed the San Juan Nat'l forest in the backyard, complete with a wildlife show off the back deck. We watched deer, pine jays, magpies, crows, squirrels, and chipmunks! All the little touches from the humidifiers, Berkey water dispenser, to the designated "makeup" finger towels. Plenty of room for the whole family! We are already planning our return!

Sibling get together

My siblings and I (7 of us) and a few spouses gathered at the Valkcia Cabin in Pagosa Springs, CO. We needed a large place to gather since we were coming from Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Kansas. Not only was the cabin beautiful, it was large enough for all of us to fit comfortably whether we were sleeping or just sitting around visiting. Blair (the owner) was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed or could have ever needed! I highly recommend staying at this "cabin" and I hope we get to come back again soon.

Awesome cabin!

I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great escape! It is very clean, restful and perfect for any size family gathering. The beds are very comfortable and loaded with pillows. The steam shower is excellent after a long day out. The large back deck is tailor-made to hang out in the morning and the evening where you will see all types of wildlife pass through the San Juan forest, it is a very quiet area. There are many trails that can be taken from the back yard. One trail in particular goes about 100 yards and you run into an edge of the forest where you can sit and watch the beautiful landscape. The cabin is located close to most everything that you will need. I personally enjoyed the 27 hole golf course that is no more than a 5 minute drive to get to. I'm looking forward to coming back to this cabin during the winter. Thank you for making it a great experience!

Amazing Pagosa Springs Cabin!

Our family was able to spend 6 nights in this Pagosa Springs cabin recently. It is about 5 minutes from downtown Pagosa Springs and about 30 minutes to Wolf Creek Resort. The cabin is huge and looks recently updated with a new kitchen. Appliances, countertops, floors and decorations are all modern. The kitchen is large enough for a large group and fully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. We really liked the coffee bar which had several coffee and tea options to choose from. Everything we needed was provided, all we had to bring was our groceries and we really enjoyed cooking in the modern kitchen. We had plenty of room to spread out indoors and outside. And we can't even describe the fancy shower in the master bath, wow! There was a big fireplace which we didn't use since it was August but I would think is perfect for winter. The spacious living room had large windows to see the forest in the back yard where there were deer every morning and afternoon. We had a few meals at the large table on the large back deck where the forest and the wildlife made awesome views. They even had some lawn games for us to use. The property backs up to the San Juan National forest which had many trails which were relatively easy for the most part. We found a few places where you could sit and enjoy the sunset, only about a 3-4 minute walk from the cabin. While it was August when we visited we took the drive to Wolf Creek to scout the drive and we were surprised on how many scenic stops there were on the way there, beautiful drive. Take time to stop at Treasure Falls on the way, there is a 10-15 minute trail that goes up near the top of the waterfall that is just beautiful and not too difficult. We spent a few days floating on the river downtown Pagosa and also took dips in the hot springs. There were many shops, restaurants and bars in that area to choose from. We also golfed at the Pagosa Springs Golf course, if you play there book your tee times on line and save about 20%. Beautiful course with scenic views of the mountains. This is a great place to spend winter or summer. The hospitality and the house were great, no complaints here and we will definitely be back!!! Highly recommended!!
