Check in was easy. Finding the location in the late night is tricky; recommended arriving before sunset if possible. Property is not as advertised as 3-bdrms; it’s only 2-bdrms. There’s no potable water; we were informed only the day before arrival. Near our departure time, we were told a different story and there was filtered water somewhere… But by this point, we had so many bottled water and jugs that it didn’t matter anymore.
Window screens are ripped/torn, jalousie windows in the bathrooms were broken, and some lights weren’t working either. Smoke detectors and fire extinguisher were not in sight. Fridge was dirty from a previous tenant’s use and was peppered with dead gnats throughout the fridge. The property manager was very kind and easy to talk to, and she was helpful in resolving some issues. But the owner’s communication was poor. He got my name wrong, and his own property manager’s name wrong, which made communication a bit confusion. His communication style and tone were also minimal, curt and cold.
Location is off the grid. Internet connection was not good. But it offers privacy if that’s your main concern. But those who rely on speedy internet for work or classes, you will encounter some connectivity issues. Note that there is no AC, and the windows near the ceiling must be opened 24/7 for air circulation, so the nights get loud with the local frogs.
