”Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa...

”We loved the open floor plan and all of the space at the house. The kitchen was big enough for five of us to work in at once! We enjoyed the hot tub, even during the rain. The location is excellent. It was easy to find, which isn't always the case in Volcano. It's very close to the park. We have already recommended it to friends and would definitely stay again.”

”This property fully deserves its near-perfect reviews. Plenty of space for our family of four, utilizing the pull-out futon and air mattress. Our kids loved the koi pond, finding giant frogs and snails around the lawn, and waking up to a rooster crowing. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and open windows kept the unit cool enough even in June. Idyllic location, relatively short drive to Volcanoes NP or anything else on Hilo side. Very well stocked including full cabinet of beach gear....

”Lovely spot. Beautiful grounds. Unique Old Hawaiian motif. The owners put their love and pride into their units. I think there are 3 -4 units in the home but all were not occupied, so it was fairly quiet. The frogs block out any noise at night. They were very loud, but we loved their sounds! It could use a deep cleaning, and newer spices, condiments, and pans, but for the price it was a good value.”

”Totally unique off grid experience smack in the middle of the jungle. Think tiny house meets summer camp! Misty, the property host, gave an excellent introduction to the property and amenities. Her knowledge of flora and fauna enhanced our experience. Don’t worry about trading comfort for rural retreat. Our bedroom cabin was super clean, warm, appointed with quality linens and towels, and worked well for the four of us. This is a must do experience you won’t stop thinking about.”
