”Only one employee was friendly and helpful. (Cynthia). We had reserved a golf cart for the day and were told it was $80 when we went to front desk to get cart they wanted to charge $125. Office as not open posted hours causing the cart not to be available till almost noon. Room was clean but tv did not work, no hair dryer and outlets were not available for medical equipment without moving bed. Would not stay there again”

”Nice clean room with a full size fridge and a stove and oven. Only issue I had was the outside lights shining in my room while I was trying to sleep other than that I had a good experience ”

”This is an older hotel with the rooms being dated but clean. We have stayed here multiple times and would definitely come back. Great location. Friendly staff.”

”The view was amazing but I booked early to get a ground floor. There was alot of beach erosion and they moved us to a top floor. I asked if we could have the ground floor and they said no! Im handicapped so it was a problem! When the people came in Friday night and we were leaving Saturday morning they said no one asked them or they definitely would have switched with us!”

”A beautiful, well appointed spot. However, there are some issues with the service. The on site gentleman was wonderful. They were in my room fixing the fireplace when I arrived, had to come fix it again, left me just with a sheet when I said I had allergies to down-requiring me to call for a blanket, and did not have the plunges or sauna operational the duration of my stay. To their credit, they worked to get at least the sauna running. However, they only revealed the issue AFTER I booked...

”Property was suffering beach erosion after the winter and early storms on the Oceanside. But spectacular view from room and deck on the Oceanside. We should have asked them for a regular coffee pot. Very disappointed that the hot tub was not even warm. We went for beach horseback ride and for 62 yo we sure could have used it. Mgmt tried to get propane for hot tub . But just couldn’t. ”

”My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.”

”The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean enough. but the floor was dusty. I still don't get why Americans wear shoes in the room. There was also an already drunk water bottle in the fridge. The price was great for the room. We got a room in the courtyard, not the one near the ocean. The TV screen was big. The room in general was well equipped and maintained. The AC was new. The ice machine was in a walking distance.”
