”The city of Armamar is quite sleepy and small. For us, this location was wonderfully convenient for the wineries we were visiting. But if you are hoping to walk around at night for night life, this may not be the town for you. The PINTA boutique hotel was beautifully decorated and in great condition. The staff was also communicative, and there is a small but convenient free parking light just behind the property. My husband actually took a job interview (via Zoom) from the common area/breakfast...

”The property was gorgeous and well-appointed. Margarida was a very friendly hostess. The room was very large and very quiet. It looked out into a large yard that had beautiful gardens and pool area. Our breakfast was extensive and generous. A great stay for off the beaten path-very relaxing. In a very nice town.”

”This trip just keeps getting better and better! This is NOT a hotel. It is more a resort guest house. Complete luxury with a setting in the hill/mountains of the Douro valley that is right out of movie setting. Friendly helpful staff always eager to help. The room was luxurious, the included breakfast was just out of this world. Off season prices made this incredible place even better! The only reason I gave it 5 starts was because 6-7-8 were not available!”

”Hulppeilla näkymillä varustettu korkeatasoinen "hotelli". Hyvin hoidettu alue uima-altaineen ja upeine huoneineen. Tilan esittelyn ja viinimaistajaisen on hyvä tilata etukäteen kuten myös illallisen loistavassa ravintolassa. Ruoka ja palvelu oli korkeatasoista, aamiaisessa hieman kehittämisen varaa. Kävelymatkan päässä Pinhaon kylästä. Suositellaan ehdottomasti.”

”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...

”We had a great stay in the property. There is lots of room and the property was very clean. Good location just outside the centre of town. Recommended. ”

”Hotelli on syrjässä, mutta aivan ihanalla paikalla. Taksi hotelille maksaa n.15€ Pinhaon juna-asemalta. Kävelimme hotellilta kaupunkiin upeassa maisemassa. Hotellin lähellä ei ole palveluja eli kaikki juomat ja päivällinen on nautittava hotelissa tai lähdettävä kaupunkiin. Hotellin päivällinen ei valitettavasti ollut kovin hyvä, joten toisena iltana söimme Pinhaossa. Viinin maistiaiaset ja pieni kierros kannattaa pyytää, hinta 15€.”
