”A lovely hotel in a nice neighbourhood. Value was good for NYC. Rooms are nicely decorated and good size for the city. Might be a good idea to bring earplugs though. Our room had no view, so ask for a one that does if that is important to you. Staff was friendly and helpful.”
”We just wrapped up a 10-day stay at Hotel Beacon in New York City, and it was the perfect spot for our family. Traveling with two small kids can be tricky, but this hotel made it much easier. The kitchenette in our room was an absolute lifesaver—having a place to whip up quick meals or snacks for the little ones was such a relief. It’s not something you find in every NYC hotel, so it really set this place apart for us.
The location on the Upper West Side is fantastic. We were just a short walk...

Love the UWS and proximity to the Park, great restaurants and playgrounds nearby, right by the subway station, the entire staff was helpful and friendly, our room was spacious, quiet, comfy, clean, and well-decorated. ”Great hotel! The rooms are small, but very fresh! The bed, blanket and pillows are very comfortable and fresh. The hotel's location is good, the subways are nearby, central park is also within walking distance. The cafe downstairs is absolutely wonderful, very good coffee and delicious breakfast. ”We enjoyed the location of the hotel! The property felt safe and clean, and the room was surprisingly spacious. Some noise from the streets carried very clearly to the room (7th floor), so it interrupted the sleep on occasion. The advertised breakfast was a disappointment - it’s just a coffee and a sweet pastry, which we had to request separately when the front desk said it’s not included in our stay (what it was and luckily we had it stated on the reservation).”
”Loved the nostalgic touches everywhere. Bathroom design was terrible but that didn’t take away from employees who were pleasant. Can’t say anyone was not friendly and helpful but I need to call out Terri M as she went above and beyond. Will definitely return because of that”

”We had big family room for 10 nights which was great. Very comfy bed, lots of channels in tv, kitchen (with microwave, sink, fridge, coffeemaker and toaster). Quier hotel, only 3-4 rooma per floor and bathroom and shower were always free to use. Short walk to two subways and 10 minutes from Times Square. Very nice people working here. Weekends there came noices from the street but I slept with ear plugs good. Our child didnt wake up ever during the nights to noices. In our room during nights...

Central Park is also close by, which meant plenty of green space for the kids to run around. Plus, there are tons of great local spots for coffee, groceries, and dining, so we always had options.
The staff at Hotel Beacon were genuinely friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and were great with our kids, which made the stay even more comfortable. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked in until the moment we left.
Overall, Hotel Beacon gave us a great base to explore NYC, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend it, especially for families!"
