A snippit of an email I sent...
"I am writing to express my concerns regarding my current/recent stay here at the Courtyard Marriott. Upon checking in early Saturday morning, October 18, 2025, around 2:00 AM, I was assigned room 168. Immediately upon entering the hallway and my room, I noticed a strong, mold-like odor. The following night, the same smell persisted, prompting me to take a closer look. I observed a black mold-like substance and visible water damage on the ceilings, walls, and air vents, particularly in the hallway leading to my room.
On October 20, 2025, I also noticed roaches in the hallway, and later that evening, I found one in my bed. I brought the matter up to the front desk clerk and she responded promptly and transferred me to a room on the 3rd floor, which I do appreciate.
However, this experience was extremely unsettling and disappointing, especially considering the Courtyard Marriott’s usual standards of cleanliness and comfort. Having to relocate my belongings at 11:00 PM due to unsanitary conditions was inconvenient, embarrassing, and most importantly, distressing! I had to carefully check my luggage to ensure I was not bringing anything “extra” with me to the new room or taking it home for when the time comes.
While the clerk offered additional membership points as a courtesy (which have not yet been reflected on my account), I feel this does not adequately address the seriousness of the situation!"
I have yet to receive a response back...
