”Arbitrary charges、None of us had breakfast at the hotel, yet when we checked out, we were charged for breakfast for no apparent reason. They couldn't resolve the issue that day and told me to call back the next day for a follow-up, but still, no one handled it. They promised to get back to me, yet I waited a whole week without anyone contacting me.”

”I liked that the staff was helpful and polite. When I asked a question, I was answered right away. If they did not have the answer, they found one. The room was clean, the food was good, and the drinks were, too.”

”Staff was courteous and very helpful.Room was very clean and had new vinyl plank flooring and bathroom fixtures, and we enjoyed lovely ocean views. Really liked having the kitchenette with microwave and coffee maker too. The rooms do not have a/c but the fans provided kept the air moving so it worked out okay for us. During the heat/humidity of summer might be a different story though.”

”Everything was amazing!
Laurel was so helpful and kind, I loved staying at her cute and cozy place❤️
We got a very thoughtful tray of local fruits from her and a home-baked banana bread which I thought was very cool.”

”Very lovely location and very remote and safe compared to the rest of the town. The waterfall house is a full house with all amenities and is an absolutely fabulous place to stay.
The cabins are cute and we had the place to ourselves but if we visit the big island again we will be sure to reserve the waterfall house for the full stay because it’s just so wonderful!
Staff was very helpful, peaceful, clean and quiet.”

”Room is located in a working class apartment/condo complex, with a nice pool and good quality furnishings. It's not fancy, but is centrally located to Hilo and makes a great "base of operations" at a reasonable price. I recommend it for people who want to see the Big Island on a budget.”
