Welcome to the Prairie Rose, our second home and place we love. Each space in this single story home has original items we salvaged from this 100+ year old house. We hope you enjoy your stay and can feel the character and history of this special place.
There are virtually no other homes in Pawhuska that give you the ability to avoid the difficult parking, easily take a break during the day and still offer you the true authentic home experience. If you are coming to Pawhuska this is where you want to be!

This home was exactly what a family or a girls trip would need: spacious rooms (including bedrooms w/ excellent closets!), beautiful kitchen with all you need to cook at 'home' (including a coffee maker!), bonus room for games or morning coffee, outside porch sitting (front and back!), well lit outside and inside with options to dim room lighting. IT IS SO CUTE INSIDE! This location felt safe and it is truly walking distance to downtown...the kind of walking that any shoes will work, you don't need to be in 'those shoes for only walking long distances', making it easy to return to the home frequently during the day if desired. We will be back to this home again!

We had a fabulous stay. The house was so welcoming and cozy. This was a ladies weekend getaway where we each had our own bedroom and space. We had a great stay except it was just too short. We will definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone coming to Pawhuska.

SO Nice!

We loved this beautiful home! It was convenient and spacious! We did not realize there were not shower toiletries and had to make a store run for shampoo & body wash. But the living space was great for end of the day chats. I, personally, loved the back room in the mornings looking out on the backyard space.

Very pleased with the house. Only problems that were observed (wash out of driveway at street and stairs to front door with no rails) were being corrected by a handyman as we were at the home. The check -in was complicated by an incorrect code. After calling the owner, it was corrected and no more problems occurred. Overall, a very nice stay was had by all in this house.

Mother, Daughter, Friends Trip

We celebrated Mother’s Day with a visit to Pawhuska. This home was absolutely charming and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the large TV and seating in the living room for late night movies. We loved being so close to the downtown area for shopping, dinning, and entertainment. The host was so nice and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved it!

My “over seventy year old” high school girl friends & I really enjoyed our stay at your house in Pawhuska. It was cleverly decorated & very comfortable & fashionable. Just a couple of suggestions for safety from us - 1) A handrail by the front steps would be a real help to your “mature” guests & grab bars in the showers would be most helpful. Additionally, the showers floor tiling & grout need more attention from the cleaning crew. The beds & bedding were excellent & the layout of the kitchen Is very good & we enjoyed the patio. Thank you for a lovely stay.

College friends annual getaway

We all loved the look of the property when we first saw the pictures and in person did not disappoint! We came to Pawhuska to experience everything-Pionneer Woman and we loved it all! The moment you open the door, the home is beautiful and open and rooms for each of us! Love it!!!
