”Lovely stay, everything you needed. Food was great, evening meal and breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only down side is the building is dated and there was no fridge in the room.”

”We really enjoyed our stay. I would give it six stars if I could. Letting us check in early to making special meals for us Su made it feel like home.”

”The property was clean and the room had nice sea views. The rooms are in a converted house next to the Indian restaurant at the site. They are as mentioned in the description accessed via stairs .. quite a few although was offered help with bags. The main negative factor is the location. We arrived and witnessed an altercation on the street in the mid-afternoon with a women punched in the face. The police attended. We looked for other food options but only fish and chips available nearby....

”Amazing old building. Must be a nightmare to maintain but it’s full of character and charm with friendly staff. A lot of stairs throughout so probably not for those with disabilities”

”Fantastic hotel. Great location and everything was great from us arriving to leaving. The staff were amazing and nothing was a problem whatever we asked for. We had dinner in the restaurant the food was exceptional. Everything including the spa was great. Would definitely return.”

”Our sea view room was clean and spacious. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable though. The bathroom was clean. Could do with a couple of armchairs in the room rather than wooden ones but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were out and about most of the time. The breakfasts were good with a good choice to suit most people. We've been to the grand now about 8 times now and have honestly never had any real issues. Looking forward to our next visit.”

”I felt I was in an Agatha Christie story for the whole stay! We felt very welcome all the time, and the atmosphere was excellent. Ian offered us warm and friendly service throughout the stay. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. We wish to come again, hopefully during the summer season! ”

”We stayed for 2 nights as a group of 6 friends plus a doggo. We were made feel very welcome, the house was clean and spacious, beds comfy, couldn't ask for anything else. We enjoyed the walks up the mountains straight from the house, and gorgeous beach walks. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.”

”Room was basic but clean and orderly. The beds were a bit hard but good enough for a nights sleep. Lights in the room operated on a timer rather than a switch, not sure why you can’t turn them on and off with a switch to save power, but that seems like a YHA quirk rather than the hostel itself. Staff were friendly and engaging, and facilities were good to make breakfast. There are no towels or soap so make sure to bring basic supplies for as long as your there. overall had a great stay.”

”Room Was small,and single beds need updating ,o nly one pillow on each bed,window doesnt open properly, on expidia website it says parking, but you have to go into complete details to find out limited parking only, i would not have booked this hotel had i known, overall very disappointed”
