”we loved our weekend away. Barn was amazing and had everything we needed. Would definitely return. Hot tub was great after days out especially since it’s undercover. Great location to explore lakes and it was so quiet and peaceful.”

”We had a great stay at the Old Brewery Barn with our children (7 months and 2.5 years) and my husband's parents. The house was very well setup and clean, and was so thoughtfully setup with baby gear. Everything worked well and was comfortable and easy. The little village is adorable and makes access to the rest of the Lake District very easy. We would love to stay again sometime when we can enjoy the garden as well!”

”We stayed in October, a family of four and one grandparent. The property is spacious and well decorated. The location is great with some good walks from the doorstep and lots of good places to eat out within minutes in the car/ bit further on foot. (Can highly recommend Glenridding’s Beckside Bar and for a special meal, Glenridding Hotel). The kitchen was well equipped and a great heart to the cottage, unfortunately in the lounge there isn’t a smart TV, which came as a surprise and took away...

”Had a lovely stay here with the entire family after Christmas. An amazing property with ample space for both kids and adults to relax. Lovely addition of a swing set and slide on the grounds for the little ones to enjoy and stunning views of the rollling countryside. The only thing that would have made the trip better is an earlier check in time. I personally find 4pm a little late, particularly in winter as it was pitch black by the time we arrived. ”The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags.”

”The place is absolutely stunning and we loved the secret door in particular. The fact there was some basic provisions when we arrived was super. The size of the apartment was much bigger than expected, and the decor, although a bit dated was in keeping with the property. The local village was quaint and we enjoyed a meal and drinks at the local pub one night.”
