Perdido Key is the perfect quiet and family-friendly beach town. It offers wildlife viewing at the beautiful Johnson Beach National Seashore state park, as well as multiple hiking trails and historic landmarks. There are so many adventures to choose from such as; fishing charters to take you to the best spots only locals know about, and don't forget to try one of the Dolphin cruises to experience the open water in a way you will most certainly never forget. There's also Lost Key Golf Club, a public 18-hole golf course. Let's not forget the local flavors to be enjoyed at the many restaurants serving our fresh caught seafood.

Wanted to share a little feedback with you about our experience that has made our stay less comfortable than previous years. First off the fishy smell in the condo that was coming from the refrigerator, which we do appreciate the compensation for that issue but no one ever came to clean it so we had to make a trip to purchase a baking soda deodorizer to put in the fridge. That didn’t help btw. Also, had we known the pool area wld be shut down and that we wld have to leave our vehicle in an uncovered lot, across the street, we wld have reconsidered booking with Windermere. We have stayed several years prior and never had any issues. This trip has made us reconsider ever booking with Windermere in the future.

My husband, two children and myself stayed here this past Labor Day weekend. Booked last minute, wad emailed all info. Effortless check-in via phone, able to go straight to our room with a code they send. Every single guest we encountered to and from our room was polite, pleasant and mature. No immature intoxicated people. Very family oriented. Washer and dryer in the unit was awesome. Every single thing was thought of and provided. Only things I would suggest is bring your own laundry detergent because only enough for one load is provided. And know that if you are staying in one of the penthouses on the 14th or 15th floors… in the elevator you must hit P2 followed by 222. Kind of confusing and not clearly mentioned. Room was exceptionally clean. Huge tv’s in the living room and both bedrooms, with access to every single app on the tv.. Netflix, YouTube premium, Disney etc. Huge private balcony. Great pool, which is located on the 3rd floor by the way. Honestly I have no reason to ever stay anywhere else because I don’t have a single thing to complain about. I strongly suggest everyone to stay here. Would like to mention that delivery services have a difficult time reaching you due to limited parking. Seems to only be assigned parking. 10/10 love this place!

I was on a business trip/ pleasure trip with my wife. It was my birthday week so we took the time to pick and plan for this unit. We had this Unit booked and paid in advance due to business meetings, etc. On the day we’re traveling down, we were one hour away, a Beach Getaway representative calls us to let’s us know the unit we had prepaid and planned was not available due to maintenance. Remember, we’re now under an hour before we were to arrive for our preplanned week. They offered other unit options … (we had previously looked at when we were preplanning- non we would have rented with time) … they presented this as if they were doing us a favor. With less than an hour away now, with no real choice, we picked another unit. I’ll mention here, the representative helping us was sincerely doing her best, yet this company was obviously limited on their options to respond to such a last minute change. Trying to work with the time frame given to us, while driving down for our week, and considering a couple of options given to us, we choose another unit. Once there, the unit was mediocre at best. This unit offered to us unfortunately had issues of its own; the beds were old and uncomfortable, the tv in the living room did nothing but buffer due to its internet connection. We reached out to the rental office. They told us there was nothing they could do. The bottom line is we can’t recommend this unit, the owner, nor this rental company, Hopefully it’s a learning experience for all.

Beautiful View BUT DIRTY & WORN

This condo had a fantastic view and location. The beach access was easy and the pool very nice and clean. Overall, Windemere was a great property. Now for some criticisms of 1505. When we arrived, we dropped our things, took in the view, then headed out for dinner. When we returned and began unpacking we noticed how dirty and beat up the place was. I called Vacasa and reported with pictures of stains on the walls, dust, and dirt. They did send cleaners out the next day. Someone sloshed wine all over the kitchen, patio, and patio furniture. Vacasa did clean but whoever cleaned before us did a awful job. The condo itself needs painting and upkeep. The walls are all scratched and beat up/dirty. Kitchen cabinets are broken. The kitchen is stocked VERY minimally, so lots of hand washing. No oven mits. No area rugs or mats anywhere to help control sand. Sand was a battle the entire time despite our best efforts. The TV’s in the bedrooms DO NOT WORK. Vacasa or hosts did not respond to me on this after inquiring the first night Beware if you drive a SUV or truck! The parking is TERRIBLE and tight. Huge concrete turns that are far too tight. Windemere itself is fantastic. But we essentially paid for a view. This was our one big family vacation this year and we did not get what we paid for. I always book through Vacasa and have never had issues before. Vacasa needs to hold this host and your janitorial accountable. This one missed the mark.

Perfect for our family!

Our stay was wonderful. The master bedroom had plenty of room for a pack-n-play. We were even able to put it in the master bathroom as well. Spacious enough for us to have space in the unit and not be too crowded. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our group. We liked the close proximity to nas pensacola so we could go watch the blue angels practice. Would definitely like to come back!

Dirty and falling apart

There was garbage left from the previous guests in the cans and on the floor. The place was falling apart and stains everywhere. The shower curtain bar had toilet paper stuck to it and the wall. The toilet ran the entire time we were there. The shower in the master leaked from cracks in the handle and through the shower enclosure into the bathtub. Rubber seals were hanging down and the furniture was stained and had burn marks all over the table. The dishwasher wouldn't even open and the batteries in the TV remote were dead. None of the channels would ever load. The hot tub was lukewarm at best and absolutely full of sand and a large mirror had come off the wall in the elevator area with broken glass everywhere and no one around to clean it up. At least the beach was beautiful. We were on our honeymoon and it was just very disappointing. If you're going to have white furniture in a rental, probably a good idea to keep it clean. Couches were not at all comfortable and the patio furniture has seen much better days. Would not stay here again.

Spacious and clean property, on a beautiful beach! Also plenty of room for a family. We had a pack n play and bassinet, and had plenty of options for where our kids would sleep.

GREAT PLACE FOR A CHEAP GET AWAY

Nice place for the money. We drove down in my wife's Yukon XL. LOVED THE OVERSIZED PARKING SPACE!!! You might want to buy some new towels but not a deal killer. We brought our own. I'll go back. Already told 2 folks about the stay.

Great place and awesome view. Saw many Dolphins. Loved the Pizza across the street. Comfy beds and 3 Great big TVs. Only recommendation would be to post the wifi password within the unit and create a sheet that lists which channel each network is. Really tough to search for shows without it. That would have helped a lot. Thank you!

The condo was actually nicer that it looked online, it's been updated completely and was very nice. They were very hard to reach and late to respond. I purposely chose that condo the week before because it was not rented the day before and wanted an early check in. The owners of VRBO have always been accommodating with this request. VACSA was not at all. The day before, the condo showed it was empty, We got there early. We emailed and called management and they said no. They said someone was still there and they were not. So I will definitely check who's managing the rental before I reserve again. Others in the building were trying to check in and had the same experience.

Great views, ok room

Upon entering and settling into this property, there was visible, wet urine on the master bath toilet seat. There was a considerable amount of mold in the shower, and the WiFi router constantly needed rebooting to get a signal. The views were spectacular, though. The furniture was ok, with some wear and stains on the couch. We had a great stay, but probably wouldn’t use this rental again.
