”I’d read bad reviews after booking so I was very worried. But we got a basic, decent chalet in a good location. It was quiet and safe. It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. Sykes cottages manage this chalet, but it’s Atlantic Bays reception, and they won’t know anything about your booking. ”Very good value for money, nice bar area, great location next to the beach, unfortunately heating broke down but that was beyond their control, they should have offered a free drink or similar. Would stay again, I was in an en-suite room which was good value, I was on my own but room could sleep 3. Would stay again ”

I came to replace the towels by ultimately had to give up due to needing to leave. The room wasnt ever refreshed for the next night stay. For the price (I paid about £400 for 2 days) it dosent really ever match up with the service, everything is too much trouble. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired.”

I had to go down two floors (lift broken!) just for staff to tell me sorry no towels available while they wait for their linen delivery. ”This is the 2nd year running staying in the atlantic hotel, the staff were excellent and very helpful, breakfast was good, hotel is in a perfect location, brilliant sized room with stunning view, room cleaned regularly and kept to a high standard.”

”Absolutely fantastic experience. We were very late to check in after an evening golf round ran late and the owner was there waiting for us personally. Rooms are excellent and view of the harbor is amazing. Owner is also an executive chef so we dined there one night and is was incredibly good. Must stay if you’re in Newquay!”

”Clean, nice room for a single person. My private bathroom was Cosy. The staff's were above and beyond the call of duty. They worked hard to maitain good standards. Everyone was happy with their stay that i saw. Wish I'd gone to the bar there looked fantastic the morning after a party look. I missed it. Would definitely stay again. Want a double room next time. All the rooms have private bathrooms, this is not a back packers hostel, they are families rooms.”
