Jessica was an amazing and gracious host. The oatmeal with maple syrup, apples and walnuts was the quintessential Vermont start to the day. So many unique touches in terms of aesthetics made it feel homey yet held to the character of a nearly 200 year old home. Stay here.”

”We have stayed here on multiple occasions, and overall we would recommend the INN ON THE RIVER to anyone wishing to explore and experience the Woodstock/Queche Vermont area. The atmosphere and decor of the inn is topnotch. There is some maintenance/upkeep work to be done on the inn's exterior wooden structures, especially at the back of the inn facing the river (re:sanding and re-staining). Also, the breakfast is lacking a fresh fruit mix assortment (melons, berries grapes, etc). Otherwise,...

”This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints! I booked this trip during our kids' spring break for a quick getaway and to use the amazing heated outdoor pool. It's a great location convenient to all the amazing sites Vermont has to offer. Would love to go back again in the fall!”

”The room was fine, comfy beds, the towels were the best we’ve ever had anywhere, but the bathroom was not the best. Everything was so low (toilet and sink area). Another update that should be made is more outlets for people’s phones and watches. It was difficult to find a plug close to the bed so I could see the time and use my alarm. The outlet my watch was plugged into, did not hold the cord and my watch was not charged this morning. Otherwise, it was a fine room.”

”This place was great. Immaculate. Supplied with everything you might need— refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, etc. No staff onsite but they are completely accessible and even contacted me after I’d checked out to tell me I had left a few things behind. Recommend highly.”

”A beautiful location. Hosts were amazing. Clean and tastefully decorated. My only criticism would be to add ports for charging cell phones and computers. Otherwise, it was incredible. We highly recommend this location!”

”Property beautiful. Rooms very large. Staff very friendly. The only thing that was odd to me was none of our closets had rods to hang clothes on. We were going to a formal wedding, my husband had a suit and I had a long dress to hang up, but the closets had no rods, and we had 3 closets in our room. Had to hang the suit from a door handle and the long dress from the shower rod!”
