”The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was mostly OK, but the carpet had a hole in it and didn't quite reach the edge of the room, and I'm afraid I was rather put off by a long dark hair lying on top of the white pillow when I arrived. I would have appreciated the one cup in the room being replaced with a clean one after the first night. The ensuite shower room looked good with a large walk in shower and would have benefitted from a shelf in the shower area for shower gel. Breakfast...

”A lovely room in a very cosy, friendly pub. There was some road noise due to the location, but this dies down after dark. The facilities and food were excellent.”

”If you are looking for a good night sleep i would not stay here. Pub appears to have lock ins until 1am and then they stand outside for hours talking loudly. Windows have no secondary glazing and your woken constantly by bin trucks in the morning. Maybe rooms at rear are better. Room is nice and clean but if they improved sound insulation on windows and closed pub earlier it might be bareable.”

”Convenient overnight stop when visiting our daughter. Car park is large but there are lots of larger vehicles that double park making it tight for others. It's clean, comfortable bed, good shower but you can hear everything from surrounding rooms...sneezing, coughing, burping, snoring, use your imagination!!”

”We stayed here one night as my niece was getting married and having her wedding venue just down the road in the village Hall. The room was lovely, very clean and every thing you would need, to a very high standard. We didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on that.”

”Great pub with fab food. Lovely accommodation block with nice size rooms and facilities. Only down side for us would be beds are very hard, otherwise enjoyed our stay.”

”Our room decor was very tired and tatty, the shower was no more than warm, the plug in the sink was broken and the shower had no hand held wand so you had to get wet all over. The bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok.”

”Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

”We had a lovely stay at The Great Decoy. The weather was horrible unfortunately, but the pub was very cosy and welcoming with lovely open fires. Lovely food, great decor, lovely attention to detail including the gorgeous smelling toiletries provided. The bed was very comfy with lovely bedding. We will definitely return and also try out other pubs in the Chickpea Group.”

”The Dundas Arms is a warm welcoming hotel in an interesting setting between canal and river on the edge of a lovely village. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant was busy with good service and a good menu of delicious food. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. It was our diamond wedding celebration and we were well looked after and given complimentary bubbly to celebrate. We had a most enjoyable 3 days and consider Dundas an ideal country venue and...
