”Staff clean rooms”

”The pool was closed. This was very disappointing bc it was the main reason we booked. The staff was friendly but he didn't know when the pool would be opened up. Standing near the pool door you could smell stinky water.”

”I am writing this review to strongly caution other families against booking a stay at the Townhouse Winston Salem - University. I arrived with my minor children only to find that the property is completely misrepresentative of its online photos and description. The hotel advertises a clean, usable pool, but in reality, the pool is abandoned, closed off by a dirty cover, and clearly has not been maintained for years. The environment felt extremely unsafe. ”The staff was great! The property on the other hand seemed as it wasn’t kept up.”

”House keeping older Hispanic lady. Excellent cleaning and details to room. Mataniece still has not replaced t.v. in room. They saw screen is black on 1 side. Needs to be replaced.”

”2 adults, one washcloth, one towel, no trashcan in room, bugs everywhere on the floor (dead). No bugs in or on mattress (thank God), we arrived close to midnight, complained the next morning and front desk assistant promptly let us know we could have came to the front office to get a trash can and towels....it was a very long walk to the office, we were tired so we just chalked it up to realizing he didn't care.”

”Stay was rude following us,felt like harassment”

”Our room was very clean. The halls had a mildew smell. The pool was not open, which was not an issue for us, but a lot of other guests were pretty upset about that. It’s in a great location that’s under construction, so my thought is that the current hotel will be updated soon.”

”We ended up not staying because after i booked they listed all the fees. You have to check in by 8 pm but is listed as 2:30am and there is a $20 per person per day fee to use the pool. And you have to give a 48 hr notice to even use the pool and i booked last minute so that would have been a waste too. To use the hot tub its $100 extra but that is the only thing listed before you book. It would not have been worth the 3.5 hr drive we were going to make. ”

”The hotel is located in a between downtown area with a lot of restaurants in walking distance to choice from. When we arrived valet was awesome and the hotel lobby was beautiful. They did have to change our room due to some small issues that were addressed immediately. The recreation area was so nice and the kids had so much bowling. We ate at Mellow Mushroom which was about 3 blocks up and it was worth every bite 10/10”

”The skunk smell of marijuana was everywhere. Very difficult to believe from such an old establishment. Kind of disgusting Back door security was not secure in the evening. People discussing drugs waiting around the door for residents to enter.”
