”Location was great for Acadia National Park. Breakfast is lacking, a lot of things are out of order or unavailable. Breakfast staff was seen disregarding proper food safety in regards to changing gloves after exiting the restroom and practicing hand hygiene before dealing with food items. After politely asking the staff to change their gloves, they argued with us and then confronted us once again while we were sitting at our table eating breakfast.”

”Wonderful ocean view from our balcony. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Laundry facilities on site that came in handy and was not expected. Located away from the busy downtown and still had a beautiful view and a family of deer that visited daily :). The cleaning staff were very outgoing and helpful. Wonderful place to stay!”

”Loved the quaint feeling! Perfect location to Acadia & Bar Harbor. Upon arrival our flights were delayed, so I contacted the property to make them aware of a late check in. They left us our room key & made the check in process seamless. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good & unique every morning! Also, a plus- you are able to use the amenities (pool, hot tub, fitness center) at the property next door. Would stay here again 😊”

”We stayed an entire week and couldn’t have been happier. The staff were all amazing and gave helpful recommendations since we were first time visitors to Bar Harbor. The location was perfect for enjoying all Bar Harbor had to offer. It was a close walk but still quiet and private enough to enjoy both aspects. ”It is a charming property, with wonderful views of Frenchman's Bay. We were there early so some things ( bar) was not available yet. Our upper floor room with fireplace and balcony, were lovely! The mattress could be a little softer, but otherwise, no complaints. We look forward to a return visit in the future! Staff was friendly and helpful.”

”The Sand Bar Cottage is an EXCELLENT choice. It is perfectly located and a great establishment. Chris the manager is incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was 5 stars. Stay here!”
