”It rains quite often, so there is always water in the waterfalls, which are quite magnificent. You can handfeed toucans and hummingbirds in the park. In the hotel room's balcony there is a hummingbird feeder so that you can watch them very close. The tour to volcano Poas was a disappointment. The staff advised us to reserve the tour on a previous day, when you have no idea about the weather in the mountain. We didn't see anything there.”

”Sehr große, saubere Zimmer in Bungalows mit Terrasse. Schöner Pool und Garten. Die kleine Straße ist erstaunlich viel befahren und entsprechend war es in der Nacht nicht so ruhig wie erwartet. Die beschriebenen Trails auf dem Gelände sind etwas enttäuschend. Das Abendessen vom Büffet ist einfach aber geschmacklich ok. Frühstück auch sehr einfach.”

”We felt in love with this place. Jorge the son of the house is very helpful and he likes to share with his guests, he is an excellent English speaker. We enjoyed the pool (natural spring water) and the view. The breakfast is very traditional and good quality. We thanks to whole family for this experience. We also had the occasion to have diner at the restaurant runned by the daughter of the family. The meat is home smoked. ”

”Im Prinzip ist die Lodge super, abseits von allem, mitten in der Natur und die Affen ziehen direkt am Balkon vorbei, um im nächsten Baum zu essen. Die Lodge hat Frühstück inklusiv. So, das bedeutet, für den Rest der Verpflegung ist man selbst verantwortlich oder nutzt das Restaurant der Lodge. Leider haben die Zimmer aber noch nicht mal einen Kühlschrank, daher ist Selbstversorgung eher schlecht. Und die Preise der Lodge für Essen und Trinken sind unverschämt. Beispiel: 15 $ plus Tax für...

”The house and grounds are beautiful. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s gorgeous looking over the lake. Pool was fantastic. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great. Check in easy and there was even a welcome basket with fruit. Would stay again. The only thing people need to know is that it is 45 min to La Fortuna even though it looks closer on the map. This didn’t bother us but if you are expecting to just pop in and out of town you need to plan accordingly from a time perspective.”

”This is a beautiful ecolodge and very well managed by Pedro and his staff. Pedro goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Their food options are very creative and excellent especially since we were vegetarians. The place is remote and provides a true jungle experience while still having the basic amenities to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. They have well organized guided walks both at night and during the day, several of them covered within the reservation. ”

”På grund af vejens beskaffenhed nåede vi ikke op til hotellet. Det var en meget bumpet og til tider oversvømmet tilkørselsvej, så vores lokale chauffør nægtede at køre os. Vi valgte derfor at blive på “hovedvejen” og endte med at sove i Grecia, den nærmeste by. Alt endte således godt, fordi vi blev adopteret af en lokal. Hotellet kan kun anbefales til rejsende med en meget kraftig 4-hjulstrækker. ”

”Amazing. The cabana is beautiful! It’s brand new and very comfortable. It has three walk out decks, and a one whole side of the cabana is huge windows that open to make the space open air. The views form the cancan are insane! We booked last minute, and I am sure it will be our favorite all the three paces we stay. The host was amazing! He even took us hiking up the river.
