”It rains quite often, so there is always water in the waterfalls, which are quite magnificent. You can handfeed toucans and hummingbirds in the park. In the hotel room's balcony there is a hummingbird feeder so that you can watch them very close. The tour to volcano Poas was a disappointment. The staff advised us to reserve the tour on a previous day, when you have no idea about the weather in the mountain. We didn't see anything there.”

”We visited Monteverde in the end of our vacation and it was definitely the right decision. Service was very polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and large, but cold, especially at nights. I think this was the best hotel for our purpose to visit the Monteverde forest area and there were also easy bus connections to Santa Elena. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious!”

”This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some.”

”Die Anlage ist schön in der Natur eingebettet. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden, weil wir Aras, Affen, ... direkt vor der Haustür hatten. Das Bad ist ein Traum weil es nach draußen offen ist. Leider war die Badezimmertür nicht mehr ganz abgedichtet und ein Skorpion hat sich in unser Zimmer verirrt. Auch das Frühstück ist unserer Meinung nach keine 9.50 USD pro Person wert. Kein Käse, Schinken, Joghurt, ... Es hat vieles gefehlt. Der Pool war lauwarm und die Außendusche extrem verkalkt. Auch...
