”Stayed for 2 nights with 2 kids.. great location..ocean view suite..room was clean and big enough for the kids and has all modern amenities..we were on level 1 and the balcony opens to ocean view.. unfortunately the roof of the bar under the balcony was being repaired so there were some privacy issues.. Only feedback the toilet seat was cheap plastic which squeaked a lot and we were worried of it will crack.. Bar and bistro under had good options and cheaper as well.lot of restaurants as well...

” We had a really nice stay at Macleay hotel! Our room was perhaps a little old, but everything was very clean so we didn't mind the kitchen corner being a little old. The location is excellent, Potts point is a beautiful part of Sydney and not too touristy, there are actual residents too and not just hotels. ”If I could rate this hotel minus, I would do so. It is disgraceful that such a sub-par room is sold at all, much less for the price that is being charged. Staff were lovely and attempted to help, but no offer of an upgrade into a decent room. Carpets were beyond awful. It looked like someone had used the carpet as a toilet, and smelt that way too. Bathroom was beyond dated and grout was filthy. I will never, ever stay here again. Lift your game and provide a room that fits its description”

”Very clean and modern rooms. Great amenities. Great breakfast buffet included when you book on Expedia but NOT when you book through the hotel directly, which is good to know. Very quiet we had two enjoyable nights. The lighting in the rooms is also cool and there is a Bluetooth speaker system in each room. Highly recommend, this place is a great value for the money. There are also a lot of people hanging out in the lobby area - it’s a nice social hostel-like scene without the hostel grimy-ness!”
