”Staff was super friendly, room was great, they fulfilled all my our (anniversary) requests with professionalism and without hesitation. Only downside was the TV in the living room and we couldnt watch it at bedtime. Other than that it was great! Thats why we keep coming back!”

”Love everything! From the beautiful retro room to the heated floors in the bay to the comfy bed. We love the decor and we need some relaxing time. Wife and I wish it was warmer to see the property and water views but it was cold! Maybe we come back in the summer ”

”Never saw any staff so can't answer that. My only complaint about the room is that the bed is WAY too high. It was difficult for me to get on it. Honestly... if I'd known the bed was that high I might not have taken the room. I can't understand why motels have beds like that. Do they not consider that all people are not tall enough for them?”

”We loved our stay at the Briar Barn Inn. It was a perfect stay for us and the out of town guests for our son's wedding at the Grove. The rooms were modern, spacious, clean and elegant . I loved all the gas fireplaces and beautifully decorated sitting rooms throughout the Inn. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. A simple , but delicious continental breakfast was perfect!”

”We stayed in room 134. It wasn’t one of the themed rooms, but it was very modern and clean. It had everything we needed with the exception of a microwave (or at least we couldn’t fine one). That would be my only suggestion - add a microwave. Location is good. It is not downtown. Downtown is walkable, but we had one in our party that has a bad knee, so we drove into downtown and parked in a garage. As it was off season, we didn’t have a problem parking. ”There was a lot to like at the hotel Salem. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our only criticism was the room was drafty and very noisy. We were kept up by loud conversations in the hallway and from other rooms. Better sound insulation would be nice”
