Crown and Mitre Hotel
Parking was easy & we didn’t use the car again during our stay. The hotel is great for exploring the city. We would recommend it for a short stay in the city.

This was the Hilltop hotel which has come a long way since its heyday. The car park is good for a first impression but the broken hotel board on the building as you go to reception tells a different story. Escape to Forest Lodge, nestled amidst Skiddaw’s splendor.
Lovely lodge unfortunately the oven was not working so needed to call out for help on our first evening but the man was very helpful and lined us a counter top cooker. No WiFi which I didn't realise when I booked which was a pain and the TV signal was glitchy.

The Halston
Really lovely staff, incredible rooms with so much space. It's right in the centre but has a car park next to it too. Can't fault it really.

Luksusmökki, Bassenthwaite, Nr Keswick, Skiddawin juurella.
Good location, easy to get to most areas of the lakes. Modern clean facilities. Twin room a bit small for Adults. Good parking. Plenty of walking from lodge.
