”A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track.”

”We have stayed here before. This time check in was thankfully very quick which has not always been the case. Why they cannot get consistent with this I don't know. Restaurant particularly good, partly because we sat outside on the terrace in the fine weather. ”

”Hotel was clean and room was a good size. However breakfast is real let down. Orange juice ran out, hot selection was cold and did not look very appetising, sausages were very pale and burst their skins. ”

”Room was not cleaned in the 4 days and 3 nights we stayed, no fresh towels, room was too hot, requested cooling to be fixed nothing done. Very noisy. stayed here before 4 times, disappointed this time..”

”Most of the staff were very obliging and courteous. The room felt small for a couple and the bathroom had to be entered sideways to get to the toilet. The bath was cleanish, but a deep clean of the room would not have gone amiss. Limited power outlets for hairdryer, not a lady functional room. There was no mattress cover on the mattress, even if they appeared new. The pillows could do with being upgraded. There was one day that we did not receive clean towels, may be because they...

”Characterful property in open countryside with good free parking. A car is needed for getting about as no immediate public transport (40 minute walk to nearest bus stop). Set in lovely grounds with seating outside for warmer days and plenty inside when it isn't so nice. Large room with bath and shower though minmal sockets and not near bed. Good for relaxing and not being distracted by phones. There was an event on the evening we stayed but music stopped by 11pm. Great for a relaxing break. ”

”Friendly staff, comfortable beds, great shower. Room had all the facilities you'd need eg tea& coffee, iron& board, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was lovely & great value. Very reasonable & would stay again.”
