”The Grove Park Inn used to be a five star property. It’s a 3 at best today. We went to the GPI to celebrate my son’s birthday. Just to hit the high notes, the service from the staff was terrible. They obviously have very little training in hospitality. Absolutely no enthusiasm by the person in the Cafe, the Concierge, or the wait staff. Additionally, the Edison restaurant was a big disappointment. Our waiter rushed us through our dinner, even though there were very few guests in the restaurant....

”The hotel is beautiful, the staff is very accommodating. The room is so cute and the single rose in the bathroom is beautiful. Our only complaint is the food in the lounge. We had dinner in the lounge on our arrival. The food was not very good, the carbonara wasn’t even edible. The second night we walked down to the social and the food was amazing! The trout and the pork chop were both excellent and 1/3 of the price (which we don’t mind paying for good food). We will be back but we will not be...

”The property is in pristine condition! There are still a lot of places that haven't rebuilt after Helene. It seemed that only the big franchise names were open for business. Most of the surrounding is under construction, but it's coming back strong2”
