”What a great hotel. Can't say enough positive things about my experience. Room was lovely, clean, good value, great location and ambience, but the service and food were even better. I had early starts both mornings of my stay and it was not too much bother for Helen on the front desk and Paul?, the chef to open the kitchen slightly early for me. The food was wonderful and good value and Helen couldn't have been more helpful. This is what an independent hotel / restaurant should be like. Thanks...

”Didn’t have breakfast. The staff are a brilliant asset for the hotel, nothing was too much for them and they did it with a smile, sometimes in the face of adversity, I can’t praise them highly enough, my only concern is that the hotel is really in need of an upgrade, in particular the door/key system seriously needs looking at.”

”I was a little concerned that check in info, including teh address, was to be provided only 3 hours before check-in time, but in the event it all worked out fine. The apartment is not fancy, but comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped.”

”OK stay. Rooms are a bit dated. Don’t know about suites etc. but if you are searching something more luxurious, this might not to be your selection. Location is excellent. For Crucible visitors this might be the place to stay. It was a pity that ”spa” was only a half of a spa, because only swimming pool was in use. Got the information about that when there was no option to cancel the reservation. The hotel did not compencate for this in any way.”

”All staff courteous and polite, room spotlessly clean, a couple of minor maintenance issues reported such as showers not draining properly but this was dealt with properly. Lovely vibe in the hotel and would definitely stay again if in the area. ”

”We wanted somewhere close to Hillsborough Stadium, and The Queens Ground fit the bill perfectly. Our room above the pub was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The pub itself is a proper local’s boozer - warm, welcoming, and full of character, with reasonably priced drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Would happily stay again.”
